Irma Williamson holds a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Pre-Kindergarten through third grade. She earned a Master’s degree in Reading and Learning Disabilities from the University of Miami in 2005. She is certified to teach all core subjects in grades K-6 and Reading in grades K -12.
With over over 24 years or experience in education, Mrs. Williamson brings a deep commitment to literacy instruction and student success. She has completed training in several research-based programs, including LETRS (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling), the Barton Reading and Spelling System, and the Orton-Gillingham Approach for the treatment of dyslexia,
Currently Mrs. Williamson is completing her practicum under a Fellow of the Orton-Gillingham Academy, working toward Associate Level certification, with anticipated completion in October 2025 and acceptance into the Orton-Gillingham Academy in January of 2026.
She is dedicated to providing students with structured, evidence-based instruction that empowers them to become confident, independent learners.
