Irma Williamson holds a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Pre-Kindergarten through Third grade. She earned a Master’s degree in Reading and Learning Disabilities from the University of Miami in 2005. She is certified to teach all core subjects in grades K-6 and Reading in grades K-12 in Minnesota, Florida, and Illinois. She is also Orton-Gillingham-trained at the Academy Associate Level and is continuing to work under the mentorship of a Fellow.
With over 24 years of experience in education, Mrs. Williamson brings a deep commitment to literacy instruction and student success. She has completed training in several research-based programs, including LETRS (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling), the Barton Reading and Spelling System, and the Orton-Gillingham Approach for the treatment of dyslexia.
She is dedicated to providing students with structured, evidence-based instruction that empowers them to become confident, independent learners.
