The DSS Summer Program helps students in ways that regular summer school cannot. Designed for children with dyslexia or characteristics of dyslexia, this program provides the focused, individualized support they need to thrive.
Using the multisensory Orton-Gillingham Approach, I help students strengthen their skills in reading fluency, spelling, and written expression. Each lesson is structured, engaging, and designed to build confidence and lasting progress.
Personalized instruction that meets your child where they are.
Small group classes or one-on-one sessions for focused learning.
A positive, encouraging environment that helps students feel successful.
Evidence-based, multisensory lessons tailored for students with dyslexia.
This program is for students entering grades 2–12 who can:
Demonstrate appropriate behavior for small group learning.
Maintain attention for 30–45 minutes at a time.
Each class is 60 minutes long, providing time for focused learning and practice.
Before classes begin, each student completes a short screening. This helps me:
Determine if the program is the right fit for your child.
Place your child in a group based on skill level, not grade or age.
Screenings are not diagnostic for dyslexia, but they can identify characteristics of dyslexia. If further testing is needed, I can provide recommendations.
